NewsRussian Military Widows Stage Massive White Lada Rally To Show Off New Cars

Russian army widows and mourning mothers of fallen soldiers staged a pro-government and pro-special military operation car rally in Moscow on Friday evening. The gathering showed the growing solidarity among those affected. It is also a move that encourages other Russian women to send their husbands and sons to war, and if lucky enough, they will get a white Lada car if they don’t make it.

The white Llada has become a symbol of both grief (not so much) and happiness for the family members of the fallen. The car rally was greeted with cheers in Moscow, as the women honked through Red Square, decorated with massive “Z” symbols and portraits of Stalin.

The organizers reported that there were over 60,000 white lada’s this time, and they hope the number can go up by 50% for next month’s rally. Traffic was cleared for the rally and no taxi orders could be ordered within a 5km radius prior and during the rally.
