Patriarch Kiril of the Russian Orthodox Church, has announced mass in Moscow for Sunday the 26th of May. He invited all believers to flock to their local church to pray for Russia’s economy.
“We are seeing only a slow recovery. We need more prayer for another additional percentage point to meet Putin’s plans. I’m afraid I won’t be able to make it happen alone. Just take time off your job, or quit it altogether and come pray with us. Russia needs you”
It is expected the mass gathering on Sunday will increase over 1% of the GDP growth for this year. Henceforth, it would achieve Kirill’s goals if enough people attend. Russian economists and church representatives are confident the goals will be met.
