Russia’s Defense Ministry came out with a memo to those who have difficulty dispatching their sons to the war. To make the decision easier, it has been stated that the least favorite son can go first. This will buy time for the others. Meanwhile, it’s a win-win for the parents, who can get rid of their least favorite son, at least for a while.
The decision is up to them, of course. How they pick the least favorite child, may entail a heavy-hearted decision making process, however, it may be easier for families where they hate one or all of their male children. Most importantly, the chosen ones, the least favorite sons should not take this personally, or as such sort of punishment. It should be an honor for them to serve something bigger than themselves. After all, it is a statement of fact when we say the Tsar’s treasures are more important than commoners’ lives.
