NewsRussian Soldier Who Looted A Record 56 Toilets In Ukraine Is Finally Allowed To Place One At Home

Ruslan, a Russian soldier from the Omsk region, was awarded a hero’s medal by a Russian general this week for looting a record number of toilets from Ukrainian houses. The medal, shaped like a flush toilet, is the first award of its kind in the Russian army but many of this type and prestige are expected to follow.

Ruslan told the Gulag Digest his inspirational story:

“I’ve never had a toilet at home. I always thought everyone just had the hole outside of their house. When I looted my first toilet in Ukraine, it was like love at first sight. I didn’t even care about the missions, my life or my commanders anymore. I had to steal as many toilets as possible and maybe set up my collection. But due to the jealousy of my small town, they never allowed me to set up a real toilet in my home in the Omsk region. However, after I was awarded the toilet hero’s medal this week, our local mayor has finally given me the clearance. It will be the first flush toilet in my town.”
